Personal Care & Cosmetics Social Media Work

For much of my advertising career, I’ve created social media content from start to finish for brands like wet n’ wild beauty, J.R. Watkins, and The Nature’s Bounty Co. This includes styling, photographing, editing, and posting visual content such as still images and GIFs. I also managed communities, created social campaign strategies, created and managed social media content calendars, wrote social copy, compiled analytics reports, and managed projects and client relationships.

Walnut Street Finance is a hard money lender in the D.C. area that funds commercial real estate projects, including residential fix and flips and new construction. In addition to assisting with content strategy, brainstorming blog topics, managing the blog calendar, recruiting writers, and interviewing industry influencers, I also wrote blog posts and created videos for the website.

Relevant Personal Work

While I’ve been lucky to do a lot of creating in professional environments, I’m a creator 24/7, not just 9-5. Here are few samples of things I’ve done for myself, for loved ones, for paid side gigs, or just for fun.

About Me

I'm Ashlie Johnson Coggins—a creator and digital marketer with nearly 8 years of experience helping brands tell their stories, connect with their customers, and build communities. Most of my career has been spent at national and global advertising agencies in social and digital media, with a special focus on strategy, content creation, and digital engagement.

In my free time, I am an artist (exploring various visual forms, including illustration, photography, design, and video) and a contributing writer for Babes Who Hustle. I enjoy thinking and learning about human centered design, storytelling, environmentalism, the arts and humanities, and the ways people create identity and connection in the digital world.

I’m a huge fan of novelty, curiosity, travel, karaoke, art museums, cats, and Instagram.
